You may have heard me say it before and I’ll continue to say it now. I joined my network marketing business for the money. For the possibilities. When asked to dream about what was possible, and what would I do with my time, what would I do with my money? My answer would almost definitely always be to travel. I’d love to travel with my husband, and with my family.
Before PawTree, our vacations consisted of quick trips to the beach in California (a 10-hour drive from our house), or a road trip to towns not far from our house. A trip to Mexico or Hawaii was not likely and would take years to save and plan for.
I’m living proof that what you want, what you desire is possible! I’ve had so many experiences I can’t name them all! So I thought of my favorites. Each could use their own blog post, but I’ve kept it short and sweet to give you a glimpse into what life’s been like for me and my family. Here’s a look at the top 5 trips we’ve taken in the past 5 years:
1. LeBlanc resort in Cabo, Mexico
We stayed at the most incredible resort in Cabo—excellent service, fantastic food, you name it! To top it off, the weather was perfect, and we went to Flora Farms for dinner one night.
The atmosphere was so incredible, and the food (farm to table style) was delicious. We had the best sweet potatoes I’ve ever had in my life! It’s totally worth the drive for the experience and amazing food. And the resort? Top notch!

2. Europe, 40th Bday
We went to Europe for my 40th birthday. Take note that this was in 2019 before the world shut down so I was able to experience everything—the food, the places, the sites, the train rides, the taxis (this deserves a blog post in and of itself). It was a dream vacation and exactly how I’d recommend spending a 40th birthday (or any birthday!).
We started in London, then Italy, then Austria (where I celebrated my 40th), Budapest, Prague, and back to London to home. All in all, I spent eleven amazing days with my husband, my sister and her husband. It was unforgettable!
3. Hawaii (with our five kiddos)
We decided that rather than a big Christmas full of “stuff” we’d start giving experiences. So our most recent trip was to Hawaii. We went in December 2021 and had an incredible time.
The weather was a little iffy, and our first day there was rough (tired, hungry, jet-lagged, long travel day) but the next day made up for it. We took the most incredible hike that was worth the entire trip. All five kids made it without complaint.
4. Cancun (with our five kiddos)
This was our first “experience” trip we had planned on taking in April 2020, and because of COVID, we had to reschedule it again and again. We finally were able to go in December 2020 and it was worth the wait!
We stayed at the Dreams Resort in Playa Mujeres and again experienced incredible service, great food, perfect weather, fun excursions, all you can eat everything, fabulous pools—just an all-out amazing trip! We went seashell collecting for days, gorged ourselves in ice cream round the clock, threw back Pina Coladas (also around the clock), and had lots of fun family time!
5. Each of my Leadership Conventions
Each of my leadership conventions was special in some way, so it’s impossible to rank them. But let me just say there is something so fulfilling about self development. I walk away from each event with actionable steps to improve myself, my relationships, and my business. I enjoy experiences, I meet new friends, and I am inspired by others doing amazing things. I wouldn’t miss one! Here are some of the places we’ve been:
- Dallas
- Cruises in the Bahamas, around the Florida Keys
- Ft Worth, TX
- San Diego, CA
- Orlando, FL
- Palm Springs, CA
- San Antonio, TX
- Salt Lake City, Utah
And the adventures will continue! Up next, is a cruise to Alaska! Don’t worry, you’ll see the highlights soon. We set sail in a month!
Keep checking back here for updates on that Alaskan cruise and more!
