Can I (or someone) really make money in an MLM?

This can be a hot topic with varying views. I know some people will be quick to say, “No, you can’t make money in an MLM.” And I have to admit, there was a time when I wondered whether I’d ever be able to make money in an MLM.

But I hope you’ll hear me out as I share my perspective and belief that, yes, you can make a significant income in network marketing.

My income went up to nearly 25% in a year

About a week ago, I got paid. On September 6th, I got an email notification that I had a deposit!

 

 

The feelings of satisfaction I received in the days prior, the moment I got the email, and the days after are indescribable. And the cool thing is I get to feel this way month over month!

This is a large sum of money I’m earning monthly. In fact, I have seen my income go up nearly 25% from this same time last year. In what job can you give yourself a 25% raise? Or more? Why stop at 25%?

Now I get it, results aren’t always typical, and are certainly not guaranteed in any network marketing company. I have other blog posts you can refer to help you determine the right company for you.

But this is real. I’ve lived it and am living proof you can go from $33 (my first paycheck in 2014) to over $20,000 with the right company, the right tools, the right products, and the right mindset. Most of all, keep persevering even during difficult times.

What’s the difference between me and others who didn’t make it?

It can be a variety of things, but one thing I know for sure is that I didn’t quit. I wanted to!  Many times in fact, but I kept going.

It’s not a perfect picture all the time. I have good days and hard days (fewer hard days now that I’ve been at this for over eight years!). So if it can happen to me, why can’t it happen to you?

To help you stick with your new (or old and not yet where you want it) business, here are 3 quick tips:

1. Surround yourself with people that believe in you and are want you to win. You’re a product of who you spend time with. If you’re consistently around people that are negative, are skeptical, and aren’t taking action to up-level their own life, they won’t inspire you or support you to make a change in yourself.
2. Find a mentor that has already had success similar to the success you desire. Let them be your cheerleader and cast a vision of what’s possible. I had to do this, and am forever grateful for the mentors that helped instill the belief that this is possible! And I was on the right track all along.
3. As previously stated, find the right company & products for you. You’ll be a lot more authentic in your approach, you’ll have fun along the way, and your energy for the products and company will sell itself!

I say this often and it’s worth repeating. This business isn’t for everyone, and that’s OK!

However, for those of us that have paved the way for others, are seeing success, and helping mentor others to do the same, I hope to be an inspiration to others that yes, you can have success in this industry!
